Comedian Andy Lee and his long-time girlfriend Rebecca Harding are getting hitched after 10 years together.
The 42-year-old Melbournian, who is half of the comic duo Hamish and Andy, popped the question to Harding at the weekend in a cute nod to the way the lovers first met in October 2014.
“I asked Bec to marry me on Sunday,” Lee announced on the Hamish and Andy podcast.

READ NOW“When I was down there, I stayed on one knee and I gave her another napkin — because when I first met her at the café, I wrote on a napkin my details — and I gave her another napkin,” Lee said.
Co-host Blake quipped: “Is it a bit quick? That’s all I want to ask.”
Hours later Lee and Harding took to Instagram to share the heart-warming news and showed off the sparkling engagement ring.
In the photo, Harding flashed a beaming smile while Lee planted a kiss on her cheek.
“People keep saying we rushed into this, but we don’t care what people say,” the post was captioned.
Celebrity friends took to the comments wishing the happy couple all the best for their new chapter.
Journalist Leigh Sales and TV presenters Brooke Boney and Abbey Gelmi all left congratulatory messages.
Radio queen Jackie ‘O’ Henderson couldn’t believe it.
“Omg it’s happened!!!!! Congrats guys ❤️❤️,” she wrote.
Influencers including Bec Judd, Tayla Broad, Elyse Knowles, Olivia Molly Rogers and Steph Claire Smith were also overjoyed at the long-awaited announcement.
The pair first crossed paths at a Melbourne cafe when Lee was busy writing jokes for the 2014 Logie Awards and Harding—who was working as a waitress—caught his eye.
“She was attractive, but it was more her bubbly personality and how she wasn’t good at her job,” he told the Sydney Morning Herald in 2022.
“She’d leave a table knowing about the person’s grandchildren or dog, but forget their order.
“I ordered cups of tea I never drank and eventually left a note on a napkin.”
And as they say, the rest is history.
The couple went public with their relationship at the Australian Open in January 2015 but after media pressure split briefly in 2016.
After about six months apart, Lee and Harding got back together and appeared arm in arm on the Logie Awards red carpet in April 2017.
