Robert Irwin is set to become the youngest Australian ever to be honoured with a Madame Tussauds wax figure.

The 20-year-old will become immortalized at the popular Sydney attraction with the wax figure set to be unveiled later this year.

“Being approached by Madame Tussauds Sydney to receive a wax figure is a huge honour. I’m such a fan of the Madame Tussauds attractions; they’re home to the most influential celebrities in the world, and I’m very proud that I’ll be amongst them!” Robert said.

The wildlife warrior was joined by his mum Terri Irwin when he had over 100 measurements and 300 reference photos taken to create the wax figure, both fascinated by the methodical process.

“Robert Irwin is the man of the moment! We are in awe of all he has achieved at such a young age. Being honoured with his very own wax figure is a testament to his enduring legacy and the profound impact he continues to have on our planet,” said general nanager of Madame Tussauds Sydney, Richard Dilly.

“He’s also among the most requested Aussie celebrities by local and international guests. There’s no one like him, and we’re thrilled to add him to the incredible line-up of stars at Madame Tussauds Sydney.

“Robert was great fun at the sitting! When he first saw the calipers (measuring tool) he instantly compared them to a crocodile!”

The wildlife warrior was super involved and intrigued when his late father’s figure was made.

“Nine years ago, my dad, Steve Irwin, was posthumously honoured with a Madame Tussauds Sydney figure,” Robert said.

“My mum and the Australia Zoo team got behind the project, supplying information, images, and clothing to allow their studio team to expertly sculpt his figure in tribute to his life and legacy.”
