According to reports, the tour guide said the woman kept a safe distance from the edge of the crater after being warned multiple times of the dangers while she posed for photos.

The woman then accidentally stepped backwards on her long clothing, tripped, and fell into the volcano.

According to authorities, Lihong’s body was retrieved after two hours and her death has been ruled an accident.

Her body has reportedly been flown back to China.
